As Stuart Wilde says, In Bad Times The Rich Usually Get Richer. There are reasons for this. Quite a few. Firstly, the rich do not acquire things, they acquire investments. People associate the wealthy with lavish things like cars, artwork, and large houses. What most people don’t see however is that very few of those things are depreciating assets. The house, the art, and many times the cars are all assets that are going to increase in value over time. The rich know that while it’s nice to look at a great painting, the underlying value appreciation of that painting makes it twice as nice. Continue reading →
In Business, it is important to have the right people on your team. Also, to work with people who have other skills and talents (and services or goods), that complement your own. Surrounding yourself with complementary assistance means Choosing the Right People to Work With.
We can only ever begin from where we find ourselves today. If you haven’t yet developed your skills of personal traits well enough to handle all aspects of the business, don’t worry. You can always employ others who have the training, skills and traits that you lack within yourself. Sometimes this is because their partner or husband has been so degrading to them that they no longer believe in themselves, and other times it’s because they aren’t making an income for themselves and so they simply cannot escape. So Why Become Self Employed? Continue reading →
My interest in self-employment began quite young. Over my own varied career I have looked at probably 700 different ways to make an income (some of which I write about here on this site), mostly in the Small Business/Direct Selling/Franchise or Network Marketing area. Of the Network Marketing opportunities, many of them were too complicated and didn’t offer a very good return on effort expended in order to create a passive income. I gave most of them a miss because of that, however, I did happen upon one that has done very well and that will pay me very handsomely. This is how I came to believe in the principles behind some of these systems.
