October Focus: Home-Based Beauty Clinic
An Introduction to the Beauty Industry
If this is your first time here, welcome to my site. October’s articles will give you an introduction to providing the services of a Beautician. There is much you can learn from reading these articles and practicing what you learn. Combine these articles with watching videos on youtube to help you learn how to do the work before going on to become qualified as a beauty therapist.
Being a service provider in the Beauty Industry requires many skills, for example: providing hair removal in the form of laser treatments and waxing; nail extensions; manicures; pedicures; eyelash tinting and eyebrow shaping, facials, makeup and massage. You may already know a little about how to provide these services, or this could be your first introduction to work within this field. Whatever the case, rest assured that you can build a very nice income from these repeat services without having to become fully qualified as a Beautician.
Your business can begin at home on a part-time basis, and you can offer your services to friends and relatives when you first start. This will give you the practice and income needed to help you pay for certified training at a Beauty School, but in the meantime there is much that can be learned without having to pay the exorbitant prices asked by these training schools.
In this month’s articles you will read all about how to provide manicures, pedicures, waxing, Beauty massage (using your long nails to enhance the massage by working on the outside edges of the client’s feet and hands with them) and eyelash and eyebrow tinting. There is not a lot of time to get through a thorough training in these areas, however, you will gain enough skill and knowledge to go away and practice what you learn from these articles. Add to this knowledge by watching videos that you’ll find on youtube. In this stage-by-stage process of learning you can become skillful at your own pace, in a way that is easy to comprehend and easy to cope with financially.
Also, within this month’s articles you will learn what to do in order to be able to purchase products at wholesale prices from the various beauty suppliers, as well as direct from beauty and skincare companies such as Nutrimetics. I encourage you to purchase your kits now so that you can immediately begin to be able to charge for the work you do on others. This will help you to firstly, re-coup your investment in your kit, and secondly, help to finance the further training you will need to do in order to be able to provide all the various services that your clients will request of you.
I recommend learning how to provide services such as waxing. This service, like the services relating to hands, feet and nails, is a repeat service that will give you a regular base of clients that come back to see you every four to six weeks. It is very important that you can provide these repeat services, otherwise you will need to constantly advertise or promote yourself in order to make a living, and this will be very costly. It is better to keep working with clients that you have already worked with before.
Hair removal via waxing is just something that is expected these days. There is a high demand for the service of Waxing from people everywhere, men and women included, for comfort and appearance sake. It has been accepted for many years that women have various parts of their body waxed, but in recent times men now seek the services of a Beauty Therapist as well. They often seek to have their back hair removed, or in the case of sporting enthusiasts such as Cyclists, their leg hair. Once you have formed a good association with a client, they will return to you again within four to six weeks for follow-up service (hair always grows back!). Therefore, you can be guaranteed of building a regular clientele and a reliable income due to the nature of the work whilever you provide good service and give attention to detail.
Then, if you learn how to do other services as well you can provide your clientele with a ‘one-stop shop’ where they can have all kinds of pampering experiences. If you know how to do Manicures and Pedicures and you let your clients know this, you will then find that they have this work done at the same time as they are having their Waxing done, earning you more money and building your business. Learn how to do Nail Extensions and expand your business even more. If you then add Beauty or Remedial Massage as well you will have quite a wide variety of services to offer.
If you would simply like to be able to provide these services for your family and friends and save money on visits to the Beautician, then what you will learn from this month’s articles will be valuable to you over the course of time. You will benefit from the savings made in the long run, and perhaps some of the business training you will also read about can be applied to other things that you are or become involved in. Whatever your reasons for reading these articles, you will gain valuable knowledge that will assist you in a way that is right for you. I hope that you enjoy learning from my site, and that you go on to become successful in your application of the knowledge gained from having visited here.
